Description

The Digital Solutions Division (DSD) of ACT Health is led by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) who provides high-level leadership, management and strategic advice in relation to performance reporting and technology capabilities across the ACT public health system. The Information and Data Management Branch (IDM) works within DSD and is responsible for managing the Directorate’s reporting requirements to national data agencies and Australian governments. Within the IDM Branch, the Reporting and Analysis Hub provides:

  • Quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Data analysis to support strategic funding approaches.
  • Manages government business requests in all data matters.
  • Provide quality data analysis and support business intelligence including Territory Wide Reporting.
  • Manages external submissions for the Independent Pricing Authority.

Summary:

ACT Health’s Reporting and Analysis Hub manages performance reporting for the Directorate. ACT Health is seeking to innovate its approach to conducting performance reporting and is seeking an intern with experience in business intelligence and data visualisation to contribute to ACT Health’s future approach to performance reporting.

Within this internship, students will have the opportunity to contribute to a real-world project in the Government context. Students will learn from data professionals in the workforce skills in data analysis, visualisation, data architecture and engineering, as well as gaining experience working in a professional workplace context with the opportunities and challenges that exist in this sector.
