Students interested in a Public Health Study Tour:

ACICIS’ Summer: Public Health Study Tour (PHST):

This two-week intensive study tour offers students a chance to gain insight into the public health sector in Indonesia. See first-hand how the public health system works in Indonesia with the PHST, a two-week intensive tour covering topics like maternal and child health, nutrition, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, and more.

Through a range of seminars from learning health professionals, policy makers and community health workers and field visits to health care facilities, organisations and schools, this tour offers unique insight into the public health challenges facing Indonesia. The PHST includes the opportunity to network and discuss health issues with Indonesian undergraduate students through collaborations with Universitas Indonesia.

Total Cost: $5,436

Program Inclusions: Two weeks of seminars and field trips (one week in Jakarta and one week in Yogyakarta). Tour activities run most days from 8am-4pm and there will be free time some afternoons. Accommodation, most meals and in-country transport are also included.

Program Partner: University of Indonesia

No background in Indonesian language is required to participate in the program.
