Description

Get excited, for the Asia-Pacific Week (APW) is coming back!

The Asia-Pacific Week conference brings together students, policymakers and young professionals who share a common interest in the Asia Pacific and its challenges and opportunities. Enrolling in the APW Internship is a great opportunity to assist in the planning of the conference, gain high-profile organisational and professional experience and make extensive contacts here in Canberra, across Australia and overseas.

It is anticipated that the conference  will take place mid-2023, the week after Semester 1 exams finish.

What are the internship opportunities like?

As an intern, you will have a portfolio to work on to prepare the conference during Semester 1, and then an identified role to play during the Conference itself. The APW internships are part time, and open to all ANU undergraduate students regardless of their area of study. This year’s internships positions are varied, so we know that there will be an exciting project for anyone who wishes to participate!

We are looking for people to join the following portfolios: Deputy Director, Content, Delegates, Logistics, Media & Marketing and Special Projects. These exciting roles will require between four and five hours a week, and up to fifteen hours a week before and during the conference.

Although we the positions will be quite competitive, we encourage anyone who has an interest in the Asia-Pacific region to apply. Online applications will close on Sunday 5 of February. Each shortlisted applicant will be invited to a Zoom Interview on the 16 of February.

You will find more information on the different portfolios and can apply here. As always, we are here to help you achieve your goals, so don’t hesitate to get in touch with the CAP student centre (cap.student@anu.edu.au) if you have any questions!
