Study Public Health in Indonesia in Summer 2023 for Academic Credit!

The Program

The Public Health Study Tour (PHST) is a two-week intensive study tour that offers students a chance to gain insight into the public health sector in Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity for Australian students to hear from leading health professionals, policy-makers and community health workers in Indonesia, and to discuss approaches to health issues with Indonesian counterparts. Students will also have the opportunity to visit various health care facilities, organisations and schools in Indonesia which provide students with the opportunity to see firsthand how the public health system works in Indonesia and to understand the complex challenges it faces.

No background in Indonesian language is required to participate in this tour. Students from the following disciplines are welcome to apply; Public Health, Epidemiology, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, and Health Sciences. Eligibility

Eligible students can now receive two in-country NCP mobility grants! This means that you may be able to undertake either two short-term programs, two semester programs or one short-term and one semester program with the assistance of the New Colombo Plan mobility grants.

There is no separate application for a New Colombo Plan Mobility Grant. All students are strongly encouraged to apply and will have their eligibility to receive a grant assessed as part of the application process.
