Eligibility for internal transfer from another ANU program

Eligibility to transfer into the PhB Science from another ANU program requires:

Credit will be considered for prior study at the time of the application to transfer.

It is recommended that students apply to transfer after completing no more than 48 units. A later transfer may result in difficulty in completing the degree requirement of 36 units of Advanced Studies courses.

Eligibility for re-entry following transfer out of the PhB Science program

A student formerly studying within the PhB Science program who has transferred out of the program may apply for re-entry to the program if they meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A GPA of 6.5 from previous ANU study.
  • Demonstration that the student is currently meeting the PhB Science progression requirement by attaining an average of 75% or above in each of the last two semesters.

Credit will be considered for prior study at the time of the application to transfer. Full credit transfer may not be applied if doing so would make it difficult to comply with the degree requirements, particularly the requirement for 36 units of Advanced Studies courses.
