The Digital Solutions Division (DSD) of ACT Health is led by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) who provides high-level leadership, management and strategic advice in relation to performance reporting and technology capabilities across the ACT public health system. The Information and Data Management Branch (IDM) works within DSD and is responsible for managing the Directorate’s reporting requirements to national data agencies and Australian governments. Within the IDM Branch, the Data Governance Hub provides:

  • Lead development of Directorate-wide data custodianship and reporting governance arrangements.
  • Liaise and advise on metadata development and implementation.
  • Provide analytical, policy support and input on strategic data governance matters.
  • Manage support for national committee representation.

Summary:

ACT Health’s Data Governance Hub manages the development of the ACT Public Health Data Management Strategy 2021-29 (the Strategy).

The purpose of the Strategy is to outline the ACT Health’s Directorate’s strategic vision for exemplary person-centred care through effective data management across the Territory’s public health system. The Strategy is being developed in consultation with ACT public hospitals, health consumers, non-government organisations and health consumer representatives.

ACT Health is seeking an intern with an understanding of Data Management practices who can assist with the planning for the implementation of the Strategy across the ACT public health system.
