Summary:

ACT Health wish to gain a deeper understanding of factors placing pressure on Emergency Departments and opportunities to improve outcomes for patients. A key component of this work is the provision of statistical data based on peer reviewed, relevant classification systems. The aim of the present project is to conduct a detailed literature review and provide recommendations for statistical methods/classification that have been established to calculate potentially preventable Emergency Department (GP type) presentations.
