The Energy Research Project will help inform the Queensland Chief Scientist and senior government policy makers of emerging trends and opportunities in energy generation, distribution and storage, including carbon abatement, renewables and alternative fuel sources, including hydrogen etc.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Queensland Chief Scientist and his support staff while gaining experience and insights into the priorities, methods, and processes of the Queensland government, as well as learn about the challenges of developing effective government policy in a complex and emerging field.
The successful candidate will research and write succinct summaries of issues pertaining to energy and carbon abatement, and any other emerging issues in the energy context for which research and policy advice may be required.
